Dr. Natcha Thawesaengskulthai Honored with Prime Minister’s “Evangelist of the Year” Award

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Natcha Thawesaengsakulthai, Vice Chair of the board of the Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation (CSII) and a prominent founder of the School has been honored with a Prime Minister’s Evangelist of the Year award. Awards were announced at the Startup x Innovation Thailand Expo 2023 (SITE 2023), which began on June 22, 2023 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand.

The annual event was inaugurated by Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. The theme of SITE 2023 is “Innovation Partnership – Together We Grow,” and its aim is to create an “innovation partnership” leading to Thailand becoming an innovative nation. Ten awards were announced for individuals playing an important role in creating and developing innovation in Thailand. 

Other winners include Asst. Prof. Dr. Yuttana Srisawat of Siam University for Evangelist of the Year, Lineman Wongnai for Startup of the Year, Innospace (Thailand) for Investor of the Year, Digital Economy and Society Council of Thailand for Best Brotherhood of the Year, Huawei and Science and Technology Park, Chiang Mai University for Best Contributor to Human Capital Development, the WHA group of companies for the Competitiveness Award, Kasikorn Bank in the field of the Environment, and the Young Happy application in the Social category.

These prestigious awards are designed to recognize influential individuals who have made a significant contribution to the development, promotion, and support of the national startup ecosystem. Congratulating Dr. Natcha, Prof. Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, CSII Executive Director said, “Her significant contributions have notably enhanced the international stature of Thailand’s startup ecosystem. This accolade stands as a tribute to Dr. Natcha’s tireless commitment to fostering and advancing the startup ecosystem in Thailand. It represents an honor not only for Dr. Natcha but also for all of CSII and the entire community we serve.”
