“Students admitted to the four-year Bachelor of Arts and Science in Integrated Innovation (BAScii) program are among the best and the brightest. These students possess independent minds and want to be in charge of their education.” These were the welcome remarks by Prof. Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, Executive Director, Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation (ScII) when addressing the new batch of BAScii students on July 1, 2022.

BAScii is the flagship program of the Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation (ScII), and with this new batch, the school completes the four-year cohorts of students. Established a little over three years ago, ScII now has students in all its four batches: freshie, sophomore, junior, and senior.

\"You will discover your identity at ScII, and these four years will prove to be a turning point in your life, said Prof. Worsak. “Our goal is not to nurture students who seek jobs but who wish to be provided with the education that will enable them to create jobs,\" Prof. Worsak added, outlining the School\'s philosophy. Prof. Worsak noted that ScII is unique, for five reasons: its transdisciplinary curriculum, the dual core of technology and entrepreneurship, its goal to equip students with 21st-century skills, the cultivation of global citizens, and the provision of an open platform for collaboration. Further, ScII is the only school in the region to have received ISO 56002 Certification in Innovation Management, the first institution in Thailand to be granted this honor, Prof. Worsak added.

Students were introduced to the School\'s mentorship and entrepreneurial ecosystem by Dr. Warinya Chemnasiri, Director of Academic Affairs. The BAScii Student Council also introduced incoming students to facilities and opportunities at ScII and more widely at Chulalongkorn University. Ms Daria Daria Dmitrieva, ScII’s International Affairs Officer, was the MC for the event.

To gain admission to the BAScii program, the incoming batch had to maintain consistently high scores, which they duly did. The average SAT Math score of the new batch is 739 (out of 800), compared to the School\'s requirement of 640. In fact, the average SAT Math score for all four BAScii batches has been consistently over 700.
