A final-year student from the Bachelor of Arts and Science in Integrated Innovation (BAScii) program has been feted during his stay at the University of California, Berkeley. Chawin Viriyasopon was selected from over a hundred Berkeley students to participate in the 2022 Form+Fund Fellowship, the first Thai person to attend the program.

In 2022, Chawin was the winner of the Berkeley Startup Acceleration Competition, where he pitched his startup company, SOPet. The project also won the People\'s Choice Award from 140 innovative graduating team startup projects generated by 1,077 students. SOPet is a startup that help pet owners, gain immediate consultations and opinions on home treatments for pets and safe-to-use medicines without having to leave home.

Chawin and his team were also first runners-up in the Berkeley Challenge Lab (AI, IoT, Mobile) Competition, where they developed, analyzed, and presented the business and financial strategy of the AI- and IoT-related safety application project titled Safest.
